Possible factory problem turned out loads of smoke cost me $40 to return with a possible $15 dollars back from seller all in all I'm out of pocket.

We purchased a set of Shun Premier cutlery knives from Amazon and found that as good as the knife is out of the box, it does require frequent honing and/or sharpening to maintain the very sharp cutting edge.
