Not only was this kit really easy to use, but the results were incredibly colourful and mesmerizing. The kit comes with all the necessary materials and instructions to grow 5 different crystals in different shapes and sizes. The step-by-step instructions were easy to follow, making it a fun and educational activity for kids of all ages!! What we loved most about this kit was the variety of colours that the crystals produced; It was like a mini rainbows..My kids were fascinated by the different hues and couldn't wait to show off their creations to their friends. Another great aspect of this kit is the price, it is very reasonably priced, making it accessible for families on a budget. It also makes for a great gift for any curious and science-loving kid!
You can continue to grow crystals using the materials provided, or even experiment with different household items to see what kind of crystals you can create. It encourages creativity and curiosity, which is essential for a child's development - i must add that once developed the crystals are quite delicate and this is an activity that needs adult supervision.

This is what I call a stocking filler. It gets left and left, and then one rainy day with nothing to do, the kids decide it is time try it… However, my grandchild wanted to do this one as soon as she saw it. It is definitely better with a grown-up assisting.

I was disappointed that everything is literally just crammed in the box. it is so tightly packed that one of the thin plastic cups was cracked. The tree was bent and needed straightening… it just needed a little bit more care in the presentation.

The description images show very groomed crystal models. In reality, they are a bit more messy. The tree was the most problematic as bits kept falling off. Kids pick things up and are not always delicate, but these need to be handled with care… As an hour or two rainy day project it is worth doing, although you do need to wait for the crystals to grow….

As redemption for the poor way it is presented in the box, the instructions are great. Very clear to read with step by step guides and pictures, making it easier to understand. Quite an uncommon thing these days…

We did this kit about 3 weeks ago. The process was simple enough, 2 of them you got to see the progress after 24 hours (the green tree and the peacock), the blue tree I left for a bit longer to form and the green crystal, well we are still waiting for that one!

I wasn't expecting the green tree and peacock ‘crystals’ to be like fluff and so brittle. It looks cute but the moment you move it or touch it the bits fall off and with the weight they naturally just fall off anyway.

The blue tree was the most impressive, but over time it seems to be drying out and reverting to a powder form? The blue one was the only one that could be touched and handled and the kids enjoyed that one, while it lasted.

As for the green one, it's barely grown, I'm not convinced it will grow any bigger.

Box it arrived in is for sure a bit smaller than what I've expected it to be, but nonetheless it fits everything in just fine.
Now, there are a few different experiments to be found in this kit to start your little at-home science project, and all seems to be very fun just by looking at it.
Instructions are children friendly, but I'd still insist that a grown-up gives a hand doing all this if a child is below certain age or just not up to the task.
Remember, tell your kids or for whomever this is meant for as a gift, that patience will be required as it won't happen overnight.
30 years ago when I was a child and doing similar experiments with blue crystals, it was loads of fun despite its toxicity.
And even more so, in regards to toxicity, things haven't changed and thus this crystals growing kit is toxic to the point of chemicals if being ingested could cause harm, so advise to handle with care.
