Dieser Asics ist und bleibt mein Lieblingsschuh. Egal bei welchem Wetter, mit dem habe ich einfach keine Probleme. (Im Sommer hat er Pause). Auch wenn er nicht wasserdicht ist, so dauert es aber schon eine Weile, bis ich feuchte Füße bekomme.
Er stinkt nicht, ich kann stundenlang darin gehen und er hält Jahre lang. Mit der Größenangabe ist es einfach. Normalerweise habe ich Schuhgröße 38, brauche in diesem Modell aber definitiv 40. Das ist aber ja bekannt und daher keine Überraschung mehr :) Mir persönlich gefällt er ˋnur' in der Farbe braun.

I have narrow feet. In Asics trainers I am a size 5.5, with sports sock on. Anyway, the size 6 suddenly became "Prime" shipping, so I thought I'd take a punt. Oh my gosh, I am so glad I did. With thin socks on they fit like a glove.
Immediately comfortable and I don't think that a "break-in" period will be required, although I've been wearing them around the house non-stop since they arrived.
The insole is one of Asics gel insoles and although there is no noticeable arch support, if you pay attention you can feel the gel squish slightly as you step - they also use this in their tennis shoes, and it is fantastic for shock absorption. Basically, it reduces the impact of your steps (the "shock") on your joints which means you can be active for longer/more comfortably.
The sole is thick but flexible, like a tennis trainer, which should make it perfect for hiking over mixed terrain or paths. Due to them being shoes rather than boots, I don't think they'd be good for long hikes off-path as there is no protection should you roll your ankle.
Overall, I am absolutely delighted with them.
If you plan to wear thin socks, half a size up should be ok. If you prefer thick socks, then I would recommend increasing by a whole size.
I'll update the review after the 100k and let you know how they fared!
UPDATE: day one of the Walk was rainy and muddy so I wore boots. By lunchtime those boots were soaked through and had caused my feet to blister badly (So badly that I needed medical attention and it took two paramedics over an hour to fix them up so I could continue walking!). Fortunately I had these shoes with me so I changed my socks and put these shoes on. Had it not been for these wonderful shoes I would have had to drop out after only 15km, but I managed to do the full 100km! They were incredibly comfy, and the underfoot pad was a blessing.
I did not get any further blisters. The were also waterproof. 100% recommend.
