💬: Juliette Ferrars thought she'd won. She took over Sector 45, was named the new Supreme Commander, and now has Warner by her side. But she's still the girl with the ability to kill with a single touch—and now she's got the whole world in the palm of her hand. When tragedy hits, who will she become? Will she be able to control the power she wields and use it for good?

🔰: Oh God, this is going to be long. Let’s start by me saying that overall this book was really good. Not like ~omg changed my world~ but it gave me some kind of peace of mind in some aspects and in others destroyed my heart (hehe). Throughout the whole book i kept waiting for something big to happen because the way the plot goes it gives us the feeling that it’s preparing us for something more, maybe preparing us for the new “plot” of the trilogy.
This book focus a lot in how Warner and Juliette deals with the aftermaths of what happened in Ignite Me and I really appreciated that because we had a glimpse of both of this characters individual internal struggles and how they are growing and changing, because traumatic/war can change people. And I think both of this characters didn’t know that, and it showed then discovering each other again, not only about each other but also discovering things about themselves that they never stop to think about it before. And to REALLY know the truth about their pasts.
There were so many secrets being brought to light that I kept turning the pages until I had all my answers, but the more I went on the more I got curious! People, there are major plot twists and I LOVED EVERYTHING. Of course, I also felt sad because some of the secrets are difficult to handle, specially for Juliette. And for Warner. Consequently to everyone because no one knew anything basically and everything just blew on their faces. Castle was a real bitch about not being more open, he should have told what he knows, I’m sure he has a reason for it...and I don’t want to have a final decision about him because I’m sure it has something to do about his sons and his past.
Warner showed that he is trying. Trying so hard to be different from his usual self, but at the same time afraid of that and always denying it. He wants to keep going but he also knows he screws up and also did horrible things before Juliette. And he really needs to take some time off to grieve, to talk about his feelings because he will explode and he kind of did right? His panic attack was a clear show of how much he needs help (Kenji was a great choice to be the one to deal with a heartbroken and panicky Warner). I really hope that Juliette and Warner talk more on the next book, about real important things about their pasta about their life's, not only about their love for each other.
Juliette is growing up. Because she finally admits that she needed to more prepared for the role she was taking. I don’t blame her, she needed a break too. After all the suffering she had to endure during these past few years she needed a little bit of relaxing, of course. Everything happened so fast that she barely had time to heal, and throughout the story other wounds opened. Juliette deserves the world, she deserved to know the truth and to be happy! I’m pleased to know she has Kenji as a best friend and now (view spoiler). She needs real friends who she trusts. Also, I hate her mother.
Give me all the brotp scenes between Kenji and Warner, give me this bromance that has so much potential and so much understanding between them. Kenji makes me laugh and love him so much, pretty much in all of his scenes.
Also, the only two scenes that featured Adam were amazing and he is starting to crawl his way back to my heart.
I want to end this little review with: OMG THE POLAROIDS SCENE RUINED ME.
