Chris Collins has been a full-time food blogger since 2017. Through combining his love and skill of videography and creating quality recipes, Chris has built a strong following on social media, with hundreds of thousands of visitors visiting his blog every month to create his trusted recipes.

Alongside winning in the culinary category at the UK Blog Awards in 2019, Chris has also been featured in the Vuelio Top 10 Food Blogs in both 2021 and 2022. Chris has worked with brands such as Iceland & Sainsbury's, and has also increased his profile state-side with features on Buzzfeed, Good Morning America and most notably an appearance on the worldwide release of Crazy Delicious on Netflix.

Chris has a strong focus on savoury comfort food, and has more recently narrowed his focus to specialise in dinners. Chris' food is hearty and comforting, with a strong emphasis on flavour. His recipes are approachable, well-detailed and often require basic ingredients. -The recipes are tasty, and easy to follow. They are also creative but not too complicated. I found a lot of new foods that I could not found elsewhere.
-The photos look great.
-The recipe notes are very useful, it really adds a lot to the experience.
-Very good formatting.
-The quality of the book cover and the pages are great, however the art/design of the front cover is average. While it's not bad at all, there is definitely room for improvement to make it look more professional (I reviewed the final cover).

-Summary: Worth buying, it's a perfect cookbook if you love comfy foods. Check out the author's Youtube shorts (channel name: Dont Go Bacon My Heart) to know what kind of recipes you should expect in this book.

I’ve been a fan of Chris Collins on-line for a long time - as “Don’t go Bacon my heart”, I followed his recipes regularly. Bought the book and found it to be easy to read, great instructions, fabulous photos. I cooked his sweet and sour chicken tonight and had a complete thumbs up from the whole family. No special ingredients that you have to buy online - everything was in my cupboard and freezer. The book is fabulous for new cooks and old hands like me - I’m so glad I bought it.

We have followed this Chris on Tiktok and blog. When we heard the book was coming out we had to have it! (Even if Amazon prime didn't cover shipping!) We have tried many of his recipes from his other platforms and been thrilled. After getting this book we tried the honey butter chicken (as seen in the photo). Now, let me tell you something about my family. We are a family with 6 younger children. Each one said how amazing this chicken recipie was! It was fabulous. It truly was just a "comfy" recipie. One that makes you feel happy. This will become a regular meal in our home. Actually, many of the recipes Chris has shared that my family has tried everyone will eat. As a parent with younger children this is amazing! This isn't the cook book you purchase and put away on the shelf to forget about. If so your doing your taste buds a disservice. This is the cookbook you purchase and tell your family, friends, neighbors and anyone who will listen about. It's a joy to own. In our home new recipies by Chris are something my husband and I get ridiculously excited about trying. (We have been married that long.) But the book is a wonderful choice for anyone who wishes to add some flavor to thier meals or simply needs some "comfy" in thier life. I absolutely wholeheartedly would recommend this book.
